We believe in using the things you already like to do, to do good. Our annual holiday baking party is open to all ages, and does double the good: the money you spend on tickets benefits the cause we are supporting, and the treats you bake go to the community they serve. And as always, we invite the communities we support to join us. Knowing each other is crucial.

Budge Studios asked us to help them donate $5000 and create a fun event for their team. They make educational apps for children, so we chose Je Passe Partout, who use such apps to offer tutoring to 500+ children in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, where the school dropout rate is 42% - a perfect match.

Thanks to  their donation and the money you spent on tickets, we raised $5861.8. This allowed Je Passe Partout to purchase 8 additional iPads which counselors use to tutor the most troubled children at home, after school. And the treats we baked were enjoyed by the children in the Je Passe Partout program at their holiday parties! Sweet, huh?

The YMCA Residence is where asylum seekers live for their first weeks upon arrival in Canada. They couldn't afford to offer newly arrived asylum seekers both a holiday meal and desserts at the annual Christmas party, so WeDoSomething Mtl decided to rent a kitchen where we baked holiday desserts. We baked 270 desserts which were served at the party in December 2015. We used the money left over from ticket sales  to buy Christmas presents for the  children of the Residence.
