The key to WeDoSomething fun-raisers is that we make it easy for people to do good by using activities they already enjoy - and holiday baking ticks all the boxes. This is one of our most beloved events for everyone aged 2-82!

BAKE + DO GOOD TO KEEP KIDS IN SCHOOL with Budge Studios                  Je Passe Partout                                                                                                12.17

We were approached by Budge Studios, to help them donate $5000 and create a fun-raiser for their team. We chose Je Passe Partout, a charity which supports the education of 500+ children in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, where the school dropout rate is over 40%. Thanks to  ticket sales and their donation, we raised $5861.86, which allowed JPP to buy 8 additional iPads used to tutor the most troubled children at home, after school. And the treats we baked were enjoyed by the children in the Je Passe Partout program at their holiday parties! Sweet, huh?

The YMCA Residence is where asylum seekers live for their first weeks upon arrival in Canada. They couldn't afford to offer newly arrived asylum seekers both a holiday meal and desserts at the annual Christmas party, so WeDoSomething Mtl decided to rent a kitchen where we baked holiday desserts. We baked 270 desserts which were served at the party in December 2015. We used the money left over from ticket sales  to buy Christmas presents for the  children of the Residence.
